Chrysler 2-litre 'spot'!

OK, a bit tenuous given that this was a photo taken by Mrs SL, of an advert in a shop window, of a car in Lincolnshire, but I thought this might be of interest:

Seems an odd way of trying to sell a car, chances of someone seeing that ad in a small village in Norfolk deciding this is the car for them? Looks a nice thing in black, can't recall seeing many/any in that. Hopefully the email pic's are more revealing.

Anyone got nearly £3k spare then? I do have a note of the number...

I think one of my pet hates is people clipping off the most important feature of a car. What a truly shit picture.

I agree. Its a half arsed way of selling a car. It suggests that its a deliberately slack effort of selling the car. You have mrsspottedlaurel well tuned there!

Wonder who "we" are and how much of that £2995 the very elderly couple are likely to see

Buggered if I'd buy a car that had only ever been driven at 30 mph. I wonder how many accidents they caused frustrated drivers stuck behind them to have?

I'd seen the ad first, but was camera-less at the time. It's all Nicholas Parsons' fault see, I don't usually visit that shop but they're selling tickets for a thing with him at our village church. All worthwhile if just for seeing that ad.

Many email images available?..Was there no email address, just the number? Would be interesting to get the pics, although we wouldnt want to hinder the 'quick sale'.

That was on eBay at least 18 months/2 yrs ago, it was in Norfolk then, got to about £900 ISTR.

And £900 is about £500 too much. It's ironclad shite, but needs to be shite money to have the proper appeal. They (180 and 2 litre) were reckoned to be absolute dogshit as a car, but they couldn't have been THAT bad....surely?
