Renner Modus, locked out.

I have got the resistor out, the wires going into it are in good condition and the terminals are all clean and look to be in good condition.

 

So I am thinking the fault may lie with the resistor itself.

The new resistor arrived this afternoon, so I just been out and fitted it.

 

It all works fine.

The aircon is making all the correct noises, but not blowing cold, so I suppose a re-gas is needed, no big deal.

Was the thermal cut out bit of the old one blown ? Little flap of metal soldered at one end that unsolders itself if it gets too hot ?
