Yes, yes it was. Made national news.

 

Though I suspect there's a lot of recommissioning needed after 30 years... Wonder if the belts were changed before some muppet chucked a battery on it and turned the key...?

 

I'm always concerned when these things still look just like new. I genuinely expect some rust in the steel and grot on the alloy bits, not to mention a seized water pump and shagged rubber all round!

I remember this car - every few months it pops up on eBay with a slightly higher price than before. Seems to get passed around dealers a lot too. Shame, as a car like this really deserves to go to a good home
