Insurance oddity

Don't quite know where to put this so will do it here.

Today I got quotes for the Mondeo.

Cheapest single quote was £1400 through a well known company that does multi car insurance.

I decided to add all the other cars to the policy (which only added £100) out of interest before removing them all to buy a single car policy .

A glitch meant that the policy stayed at the lower multicar rate, which I purchased - saving £600 on total price.

So if you are looking for insurance might be worth trying it out.

Admiral?

You can have a multicar policy with Admiral with just one car on it. I have no idea why.

We used to have 2 cars on ours, it came up for renewal and I'd sold my car. Explained it to the girl on the phone and she said "Oh, I'll just keep it as a multicar in case you get another car again"

It does mean whatever you add on doesn't get a full years insurance, it only lasts until the first car expires.

The idea is you insure one car & add the others when they come up for renewal.
