Wossit Wurf - Volvo C30

Hello there

 

I know a couple of you have access to this and would like to ask a favour

Mother Wombles fella ( Geoff the ex milkman) bought in haste after his wife died a couple of years ago a Volvo C30 as the motability car had to go back.

He hates it

Wants to swap it and is being offered bugger all for it trade in.

 

Could someone please tell me what the relevant trade guides say its worth both p/ex and on the forecourt / private sale?

He paid £6300 2 years ago and is a bit miffed at being offered £2800 p/ex - though I think thats probably about right as a p/x deal myself.

Probably been underwritten at 2300-2400 if a trader buy and a 500 over allowance to do a deal.

 

It's an 8 year old car that is moving beyond most franchised forecourt age kit so probably not a bad bid. I'd guess he may get 3500 privately if lots of history. The Vauxhall site has a glasses valuation for free if you can be bothered.

Usually do £2000-2400 at auction so a fair trade in.

Not bad cars but a poxy ford diesel doesn't help with injector/pump woes.

Shame as I think their a pretty car but really a glorified focus.
