This one is for sale at my local garage.  Quite a high asking price, but it looks pretty good close up, with no visible bleb.  Sadly, some clot has put a leaper on the bonnet.

These earlyish 3.6 litre Daimlers are rare now. I'm not sure it is that expensive these days if it genuinely doesn't have much rust on it. The XJ40 has risen in value quite a lot in the last year or two - albeit from a very low base.

 

This one has the only thing more ridiculous than a Jaguar Leaper - a Daimler one. I wonder what it was on originally? - It looks to be a bit too small to be from a DS420, so perhaps a 'sixties 250V8?

Got 3 workshop manuals (1 Haynes, the red one and one on CD)

 

2 owners manuals, with 1 supplement

 

The pre delivery inspection report with garage check sheets

 

And a variety of random 'service directories' etc.

 

Not to mention a SH that goes up to 87k or there abouts. Mind you, that was 18 years ago

The interior is OK,could do with a good clean, plust the wood is rough, but I should be able to sort that easily enough with spares.

There is a certain magic when you sit behind the wheel of an old Jag that just cannot be replicated or beaten..........unless you have a Daimler! I just love the look of that steering wheel with the Daimler script sunk deep in the leather. Is it wrong to fantasise about caressing and inhaling your magnificent steering wheel. Phew, it's hot in here!
