Mobile mechanic near coventry

I seem to have a vague idea of there being a mobile mechanic on here around Coventry or Nuneaton. Want to get the cambelt changed at some point on the xsara hdi and would rather give the money to someone on here.

Highly recommended bloke. I'll message him on face book and get him on here

Got here as fast as I could sorry!

Just finished work, on a Sunday phew!!

Hi Dean, yes I can certainly take on your cambelt change on the Xsara, I can supply/fit or if you see a good deal somewhere then I'm more than happy to fit parts you supply. If possible can you send me the reg number and I'll put a quote together for you first thing once the suppliers are open.

My number if you need it is 07825 235252

I am out of Dave's area, so I'm giving a bloke from Banbury a try.  There are a couple of mobile mechanics advertised who are closer to me, but the Banbury bloke says that he focuses on classic cars.   My previous mobile mechanic retired last year, which is a pity, as he was fab.

Mobile must be a hard gig, out in all weathers with no cover to work under. Take my hat off to those guys.

I think I know what that guy is talking about - I don't think he means cylinder compression, he's referring to hydraulic lifters and their tendency to drain out when removed and be a total arse to pump back up on the starter. I'm not sure I'd agree that "most" cars do that, but we are looking at a vauxhall in the picture....

The worst part is when I have a car in bits, tools everywhere and it's lovely and sunny, only for the heavens to open and a tropical storm to erupt and everything gets drowned. If the weather looks iffy, the car gets collected back to here. There is only a small amount of work I'll do roadside, the rest is either here or (because I have a 1 car capacity and no ramp) gearbox out/welding/major engine work I send straight to the garage who carry out my mot's and they do a discount rate for my customers.

just looking at your sample prices i asume that the full service price doesnt include the diamond encrusted sparkplugs that a i-vtech civic uses?
