Someone in Kesgrave has one of those feckin huge yank jobs that isn't that old, and I have NEVER seen it move from their front garden, I'd say they spunked a good £100k on the bloody thing too

I had an XLWB LDV Convoy 2.4 from Devon Conversions. It was as big as you'd want to go for being in tight places.  Like the Lake District. A mate of mind bought a similar sized 'van and loved it.  So he went for a big A-class.  And hated it.

These days however thanks to ebay and Haynes, you can make your own.

Oh, and in France you see huge dealerships full of vans awaiting new owners, they seem quite popular, probably because if you are driving a long way you haven't got to worry about finding public conveniences.

The French never seem particularly worried about finding public conveniences, in my experience!

Currently converting a Transit Luton for my brother. He is off around Europe for a while. 2 layers of 30mm celotex all round with breathable membrane behind the 6mm ply to avoid condensation.

Few days in now.

We are going to make the "luton" part of the van deeper and put the bed up there, there's an 8" void under it so we'll use that to save a bit more space, my brother is only small anyway.
