Wanted Wanted known good 2.0 hdi injectors

Ive bought a really nice 306 hdi which it looks like the wife is having . The problem with it is that it smokes ( grey diesel smoke) at idle and in traffic . The guy I bought it off was told by their garage that it needs injectors but im not convinced . It starts perfectly with no diesel knock . Injector smooth running values on diagnostics are spot on . Egr already blanked . Maf reads 500 at idle ( in spec for egr blanked ) and makes no difference disconnected.

No smoke under load or flat out even at night with cars following .

 

So its looking like it could be the injectors . 

 

Im looking for a set of 4 that someone knows are good -ie out of a car they have run or know of .

 

The numbers on mine are Bosch 9637536080 and seem to fit loads of PSA 2.0 hdis 

 

I know if I send my ones for testing that the local diesel place will say they are fucked cos they never ever say that they are ok !

 

Any one know of any ?

Sadly they are needed for the C8 - without them the car wouldn't go.... I'll get me coat.

If my brother hasn't done the scrap run yet, I have a set of 4 from a known good engine.

Found a set on eBay in my own town for the princely sum of 27.50 for the set . 2.80 of copper washers later and we have a non smokey 306 .

 

Costs so far 50 to buy the car ( half a tank of fuel too ) 27.50 for injectors , 10 fuel treatment , 2.80 washers .

Total £ 90.30 for a mint 306 hdi with working ac and mot til may !

Missus has sold her grande punto now and will use the 306 til we find a newer hot hatch 😀

Ah, couldn't find the thread the other day. The engine went for scrap before I could grab them.

I had that engine sat about for two years offering bits out and couldn't shift it at all. As soon as it went into my brothers van three people wanted bits from it and he'd weighed in the same day. Shame really but there you go.
