A quick bit of Googling reveals they are all over the place (especially the US surprise, surprise) in varying levels of over-the-top-ness! The purple one is the wackiest.

I think these vans are GR8. The more ridiculous the better, they just remind me of the sort of thing I would draw when I was seven after watching 'Pole Position' or similar animated crud on telly. Ace. I bet if I rolled up at my lad's school in one all his small gap-tothed little friends would go batshit wanting to have a go in it. 99% of grown-ups seem to recoil in horror though, which is a shame I reckon.

There'll probably be more than 7 in the UK, I imagine it's more like 50 to be honest. Do a search for "vanning-zoku" and you'll find hundreds of the horrible things.
