zomgThink he'd take a onner for it? I was just discussing this subject with my mate yesterday afternoon - finding a 2-door Mk1 in a barn would be pretty exciting. He thought he had, but it turned out to be a Marina - needless to say I'm now hot on it's tail

He was a lovely old geezer in his late 70's I guess, but he knew all about the interest in them and their value! He wasn't interested in selling anyway :(

good! the longer he keeps it stashed away, the longer it will remain free of 7 x 13 supalites, spot lights and the other usual OSF shite.

Or wrapped round a tree in Limerick, although the sharp short shock that is the Irish recession may have put an end to all that anyway.

Lol, I've heard of people going in and finding a car and hoping the owner doesn't know anything about them and offers 50 quid, which, fortunately, he does and tells hopeful, prospective buyer to 'fuck off'.One case was a Ferrari F40 which was owned by a Sheikh or something in Dubai. It had been stored for years in a garage gathering dust and someone came in and offered 20k for it. Sheikh obviously, didn't need or want to sell it. Then laughed out of garage, clearly amused at his offer for what is a 6 figure sum car.

Wow, that's tidier than my Mum's house - in use too judging by the little mud splash at the rear.
