clutch kit....cover side ?

if you had a clutch kit and the friction plate was marked "cover side"   what side is that

 

marking isnt matching up to what common sense says

I'd say it's away from the flywheel.

surely 'cover side' is the side closest to the clutch cover (aka pressure plate) Sherlock

well yeah thats what id have thought too.....but looking at it suggests no

What make clutch is it ? 

Luk will have one side marked with gearbox side but in german (gertriebeseite?)
