Spots at Oulton Park track day - 21st March.

Had a cracking day out with a few mates at Oulton on saturday, main reason for going was one friend has a mental Mk1 Golf with an Audi A4 20valve lump in (and obviously brake/suspension mods etc)

 

This thing is insanely fast and he knows the track like the back of his hand....he took me for a spin in it and I'm not sure if I was scared shitless or loving it - either way, it's an adrenaline rush.

Some pretty nice stuff there. I did a trackday with my Alfa at Oulton a couple of years back and it was superb. Really want to do another, will get around to one some point this year.Oulton Park is a superb track though, like a mini Nurburgring in the North West, very very enjoyable

Re the OMG RATLOOK Escort, add a grille and lose the silly roofrack and I would happily mince round in that. More interesting than OLDSKOOLFORD YKT Capri Laser wheels etc.

Porsche and Capri have Hull registrations, see how sad my life has got I'd love a go in one of those Z Car Minis (also from near Hull) .I sold my white CRX to a bloke who was going to use it for track days - could that be it??

I bought a white Tii for 400 quid in 2004. At the same time I could have had a stripped out 2002 for 800 quid. The prices for these have gone right through the roof. Best looking BMW ever. My 2002 was rotten but I got a dogleg gearbox out of it (worth high 3 figure sums now!).

Theres always ONE car at every trackday that looks tho shitest but turns out to be utterly bonkers.

I don't know what it had under the bonnet but it was pretty quick around the track.
