Rover 414 moved 5 miles, TS17 SORTED

I need to get the 414 from my house to Rovetec, a distance of approximately 5 miles.  It cannot be driven due to the immobiliser being stuck on which is why it's going to Rovetec.

 

Our usual transporter is not responding, our back up transporter is not responding, the job has been listed on Shipley and there has been no response so now I'm turning to Autoshite.

 

Other problems are that I have no access to a vehicle with a towbar so I can't borrow/hire an A frame or trailer.  My recent accident means towing isn't an option as I'm the only one covered to be in the car and I am unable to handle a car without power steering, a drive of just 1 mile was far too painful for me.  I do have AA cover, but I didn't opt for home recovery and to put that on now is going to cost me £130ish so that's a no-go too.

 

If anyone can help at all I would appreciate it.

I have a rigid tow pole you can borrow (fits onto towing eyes).

 

In fact I had it in the boot when we called in last week. You should have said.

Bugger, just read you can't wrestle the wheel. Though it won't be quite so bad when it's rolling. Would Mike be covered to steer it?

 

How about Chompy's AA card?

Could you and him sit in the car and give them a ring, would that work?
