New POD Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Thought I'd take a picture or 3 of some proper working shite. These guys drive out into Liverpool bay with nets dragging behind, about a mile from shore. This next one isn't a trawler man's but it is in the dunes (in a garden) And a totem pole for those that ain't interested in fishing. Lacquer Peel, pshome, privatewire and 5 others 8
mercrocker Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Blimey, didn' t realise this still happened.....That Nuffield has survived the treatment pretty well (so far)
sierraman Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 The joy of that age of machinery was you could always get it going again even if it meant jury rigging some sort of baling twine and sticks combination. I'd like to see how a 2016 Tractor got on. mercrocker 1
MarvinsMom Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 well a modern tractor woud sink in the mud upto the top of the mud guards cos of the flippin' weight of the thing, or the electrics would get a whiff of salt in the air and then stop working. or both. either way a modern tractor would i think fail to get off of the beach never mind manage to get its wheels wet!
New POD Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 I was walking the dog on the beach the other year and I could smell the fumes and hear the chugging through the mist, but never actually saw them heading into the sea. This picture taken on a nice day, when you can almost touch the ships going towards the docks at Liverpool.
Split_Pin Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 There is a similar N reg Ford Tractor in use around a riding school in the fields at the back of my house and I always admire it.
