Also with a 5.0 V8 TVR up front! It sounded amazing on song, Used a tank of fuel in less than an hours driving too!

I might as well add this here. I run a retro car club with my mate and we was approached a little while back by a former employee of Lotus who was starting a track day event at the factory and wanted some retro cars there.

We certainly provided diversty! This was a bit of a special trial day to get a idea of things which cost £30 for a hours track time.

I found these in the undergrowth, both LHD and I'm guessing old test cars.

We saw this Proton and thought it was a Zafria, it's one of their own cars.

Lastly a few of us paid £30 to take the factory tour, this was probably the best £30 I've paid! The tour guide was a retiree who had done his 45 years service and still loved the place like many others, there's not many company's which has such a strong loyalty among its work force, most of them have been there over 30 years!

All the cars are still hand built with no robots where they finish 12 cars a day. Sadly I have no photos as they aren't allowed but it was very interesting and well worth doing.
