Obviously, they try to "upsell", but hold firm.

It's just like hiring a car in the UK really. One of us rattled the Picasso we hired on a high kerb and burst two tyres, they sorted us out with another car quickly but we would have been seriously bummed without the extra insurance.

 

There isn't that much shite to see in Belgium unfortunately.

Otherwise, Belgium is just a flat and dull place to pass through and forget.

If you want to properly sample Belgium try some of their beers - I'm not especially a beer fan but reckon they are some of the best in the world - and order fritures (or was it frites, better known as thinly cut chips) with the little pot of mayonnaise. Ignore Clarkson's bollocks rants about the country. Always enjoyed my trips there.
