That pug is almost identical to the one I bought my daughter a couple of years ago, in diesel flavour, been very reliable apart from needing a clutch, brilliant on the juice too :-D

At the bottom right of your very first post, there will be to the left of "MultiQuote" and "Quote" a button with "Edit" on it, click that and edit the thread title - you'll need to use the FULL editor.

Congratulations djimbob for making the first mention of a 207, back in post 109! http://autoshite.com/topic/23096-interesting-car-for-daughter-no1/page-4?do=findComment&comment=915349

I bought some touch up paint for said 207 & although it's not really funny it made me smile that Halfords have Citroen Wicked Red & Peugeot Diablo Red packaged separately when they are the same colour with the same code!

Probably just as well about the Metro, I expect it would been stolen about 5 minutes after she parked it on any public road anyway. That black Sirocco looked nice.

Yes she really wanted the Scirroco (however the stupid name is spelt!). i think Metros would be just a bit too much in every way really!

Scirocco would tolerate the mileage easy, they're tough old brutes.

No power steering or power anything though. 70s design manufactured in the 90s.

£1.8k is pretty steep. Good ones were about a grand last year.

Isn't RichardK of this parish selling a yellow 230SLK atm?
Well, this just so happens to be the one car in the Ununited Kingdom, that's the cheapest to insure (don't ask, it just is).

So, I'm really looking forward to see what the alternative looks like.

Besides, I can see my daughter #1 very well in an SLK. But she would stop talking to me.

7 pages and then an 8 year old 207? This place etc etc

Sorry!

Thanks to everyone for the help & advice.

I'm not sure Daughter No1 is that thrilled with her purchase in the end as she really did want something interesting, but with the commute she has, her old Clio dying and my car being smashed up  something had to give.
