Mystery from 1994

I've been scanning in loads of my old photos from the Hot Rod shows I was going to in the 90's. Here's one from '94 but whats the white car in teh background. Kind of Capri looking but I don't think so. Late Princess - but it looks 2 door? Some kit amalgamation of the two?

Austin Ambassador. It may be shortened, but it might just be the shadow! Cor, body colour wiper arms. That takes me back!

Aha, thanks Dolly. So I wasn't far off then.

Here's some more background shite as a prize.

I had an ex-Fiat Press Strada Abarth 130 TC. Black one, C something TLY was the reg, quite possibly C225 TLY, still had "Fiat Press Department" reg plates on.

Someone had had the intelligence to put a pair of re-trimmed Rover 820 Turbo Recaros in it, which meant you could actually get into the back.

It was very, very quick even for a 130TC. I wonder if Fiat had sent it to Guy Croft or someone as a Strada should not be capable of solidly outdragging a Pug 205 GTi 1.9, never mind an Ernie Larton engined GTi 1.9 that was producing a definate 130 bhp @ the wheels.

Very possibly this exact one.

Blimey I can remember the mid-90s so well. Thankfully I had started to appreciate the early 80's bilge by then, which seemed to me to go from 'newish' to old and getting rare, overnight.Up until then I had only viewed anything from the 70's or earlier as old.
