Would I be right in thinking it's MOT exempt and also parking ticket exempt due to the propulsion system? I wonder if it's LEZ exempt also!!!!! That would be bloody brilliant for pissing off the greenies.........think of all the fossil fuels you could waste while cruising around the capital and parking on yellow AND red lines, without fear of being towed or ticketed!! And it's BEIGE!

Nissan seriously experimanted with steam powered cars in the 70's. They built some steam powered Datsun 510 estates and some Cedrics. It must have been pretty torquey as the Cedric power unit was only a single cylinder! This is what it looked like under the bonnet...

Alec Issigonis experimented with a steam powered Mini during the Seventies too. Though sadly no trace of it remains.

I heard a steam car running at a classic car show and it sounded a lot like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the film (without the bangs)Once you've shovelled in the coal and lit the pilot light in the morning, then filled it with water, got it all up to temperature it should be fine. Not so good for fast getaways though
