That VX4/90 reminds me of the one my family bought in 1981 for shits and giggles. Any car with pancake air filters and a wiper switch on the centre console behind the gear lever is full of WIN. In fact mutha_claim still blames it for forcing her to park further down the drive during a storm that blew the coping stone off the roof and onto her Escort Harrier (not bought for sporting reasons but because the local Ford dealer was virtually giving them away) forcing her to have a vinyl roof and new screen fitted.

MGBs only look good on steelies and chrome hubcaps to me but I don't mind the rozzies on the Allegro.   I was also just thinking how much the Bristol has grown on me since I last saw one - used to think they were gopping but its quite appealing now (in a sort of ERF way...)

My Grandad had an interesting story about D-Types; back in the early 60s, he was a wandering engineer (he designed machine shops for various places) and one day, when he was at Brown's Lane, he happened upon a heap of them under tarps, round the back, looking all unloved and forlorn... he should have spirited one away after hours...
