Don't worry, haven't gone all Pistonheads... but thought this would be of interest. Father J-Rod has a mate who doesn't live on the same plane of existence as the rest of us. He's a lovely bloke, about 65ish, spends most of his time in the summer on a surf board and when he's not in the water, is knocking about in an ancient Merc Sprinter van with more crusty bits than Kellogg's, wearing nothing more than a very rancid pair of jogging bottoms. I shit thee nay...

Anyway, last weekend, he says to my old man 'Paul, give us a hand tidying up this old car I want to shift will you? I'm not using it and I might as well flog it. Can't be worth much...'

The car in question... is this..

"Not worth much..."

Tell him it's a worthless pile of crap and as a favour you'll raffle it on Autoshite for him.

£10 a pop ok with everyone? :-)

Shit the bed, that's not even a Toyota MR2 lash-up, is it?

Tell your old man to give him a hand on a percentage basis.

Ha, I suggested that. My dad's too nice though. Skizzer, you might see this knocking about down your neck of the woods actually. It's due to be sent up to Ken Williams' place fairly soon for a bit of fettling.

That's interesting, I didn't know this sort of thing was Ken Williams's cup of tea.  If they do classics and come recommended then they might get the respray gig for my SD1 (one day), being handier than the guys in Cardiff who did the tailgate repair.

I shall keep my eyes peeled.

Oh he'll do anything. I think they'll appreciate the break to work on something interesting from the endless streams of taxis and bashed up cop cars! We've used him for years.
