Down in the dumps is one of my favorite Look at Life films. My dad Loves watching these thanks for uploading them.

I always get the one with the scrapyard full of burning shells of old cars and scenes of decay mixed up with the Cumbernauld one.

When Cumbernauld's shopping centre was voted the worst building in the world a few years ago I had to see it for myself. It turned out to be the least unpleasant shopping centre I've ever been in.

It's damn weird though. Like a half hearted space age dream that someone didn't remember properly before they drew the plans up.

 

I was watching that, thinking the obvious: that they didn't plan for multi car households. You don't have to go far in Cumbernauld to see cars rammed on to verges and pretty much Roman parked. Lockups are tiny too.

 

Good films though. Slightly manic commentary, chirpy music and all. Cheers Trig!
