How does one check suspension components whilst I lay on the road?

Well ecp gave me 2 identical boxes, with identical boxes and identical part numbers. One had a drop link, one a track rod...

Went back at 6 minutes to 4 to be told no, they have no more. Not even a sorry when i opened them all up infront of him with customers in the shop

Got to go to the wycombe one, apparently thry have 4 in stock so now i have to go there monday lunchtime, explain the whole fuckup again and hopefully get the right part

Forgot to pick up my invoice too, so all i have is the reservation email, and paid in cash. Wycombe are usually ok so hopefully...

I should really phone up our local parts people, we do have one but their a bastard to get to, even more of an arsehole to park at, and after having a friend use them quite heavily in the past are no better at putting the correct parts in the correct boxes than euro car parts. Do go to them if I have to ask a question though, and their the only people locally who sell Dodo Juice wax so I will be payign them a visit. Allparts I think they are. Would add a good 20 minutes to my journey to use them rather than ECP, and when I'm nipping out in my lunch break I cant be takign the piss. Just took me 40 minutes to waft to ecp and back.

Anyway, Wycombe ECP were spot on as usual and within 3 minutes I walked out with 2 drop links! But it's rainign today, and I'm on lates all week so probably wont get them fitted during the week, so that's a job for the weekend I think.

+1 for supporting local factors, i have never been supplied the wrong parts from the local friendly factors I use, great opening times, and good blokes who work there who are never too busy to find you something obscure, it would be bloody stressful if they weren't there

Sadly, my local factors get stumped by anything that isn't a Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra. "Nope. We don't stuck anything for those," is the usual answer.
