Theoretical AS transport service needage

Recommended Posts

I am just thinking out loud at the moment as I ponder options.

Wuvvums Rover Vi appeals for something track day orientated perhaps. Timescale wise the ticket runs out very shortly and would need the sills doing before another ticket appears.

I wonder if an AS person in the know and with suitable towingness/transportiness might be able to give an idea of price for transport of said Rover from Norfolk to Ingatestone near Chelmsford.

Cheers

When does the ticket run out? As in, when does it go from being drivable to being a trailer only job?

Hmm possibly, I'm 30 miles south of him and go past Chelmsford to my parents every now and then,I've got trade insurance and run an mot station so I could just have my testers smart card on me.

What's the timescale?

Possible, when is the MoT out? Can currently only do weekends but GA trains are free.

Cheers guys, I believe less than a week. Dave?

Dave could take the car in to Norwich if that helps?

The actual location is Stalham.

I can get to Ingatestone at any point during the day so am flexible.

The actual farm is on the Highwood Road (Highwood) off the Ingatestone Road but I will of course give a more detailed idea of location to the victim, I mean kind AS'er who can assist :)

Yo PBK, I thought you were sufffering reasonably serious motivation and health/mobility problems, if so an old Rover bubble with rusty sills sounds like the polar opposite of what you need (he said helpfully)

I am but I have a yearning for this. Helpfully I have a mate with a 4 post lift who can be volunteered to do the things I can't. Said lift at a certain height with me sat on a chair would be fine. This would be a long term project which would withstand the wavering motivation issues (anti-deps are helping too but slowly) and pain. I'm due to have 3 painkilling injections which should ease things on a temp basis.

I think with the Toledo I did too much in one go and became overwhelmed. I realise now that I should literally have done one panel at a time. Hey ho.

The Rover can sit in storage for a while whilst I just pace myself. The Amazon needs little apart from the seats and a bit of grot on one rear wheel arch.

The Daf will also be done at a pace if and when it arrives, there is no rush.

The Q car aspect of the Rover really does make me think whoohoo as well and if I am up to it, maybe some track time.

The thing about the physical health issues are that there is a constant underlying aspect to it but the acute stuff does vary, so things will get done as and when :)

Now back to the potential transport bit :) :)

What contributed to my funk was the news that I would not be able to return to a face to face clinical role due to my health issues as the 'risk' was too great if I was confronted by any physical violence type scenario. I am unable to participate in any of the training that appears to be mandatory for face to face patient contact. This pissed me off greatly, added to my low mood and just compounded everything as I have been a nurse for nearly 30 years and have diffused all kinds of situations without the need for any physical intervention. It was all too much in one hit more or less.

Sorry to waffle on but it all just added up to make me feel kind of shit. Hopefully things will improve :)

Here actually helps :)

So, who fancies lobbing a Rover in my general direction.

I thought this was the car being raffled?

I must have missed the memo

It may have been intended at some point but the American car is current raffle fodder.
