R3 sills

OK, so at some point I'm going to need to get the Rover of Doom through an MOT, and to do that I'm going to need to weld up the sills.

I've decided that by far the easiest way will be to buy a pair of replacement sills - the offside sill on the RoD has gone more or less all the way along; the nearside only needs a few bits doing, but I thought I could chop up the nearside sill and share it between this and the Vi, which is also going to need welding.

Only problem is, I can't find any anywhere.  Ebay turns up a blank, even Rimming Brothers only list inner sills.  The only results that Google shows up are those daft generic scrapyard comparethemeerkat sites, which are no use at all.

Anyone got any ideas?  Or should I just buy an MG ZR bodykit and use it to hide the grot?

How much length do you actually need? I have actual shape R3 sills (cut from my donor) but they are just replacement 'tack in' sections.

My brother had a big issue finding sills for his Rover, hunting all over for them.  He got lucky when he managed to find a pair with Autosupplies.  Those sills ended up with Krujoe who may still have them.

I should know this, but is this what you're looking for?

or are these in fact the inner ones?#

EDIT to add: these are for the 2 door car, dunno what your cars are.

The RoD is a 2 door, the Vi is 4 door.

Looking at the diagram again, it looks like the outer sills may in fact be part of the whole side panel assembly rather than a separate panel (apart from the short sections that you posted a link to) - which would explain why I couldn't find them.  (Also I was looking in the wrong section - I thought sills would be listed in the floorpan / crossmember section.  Doing a site search for "sills" brought up nothing of any value.)

I really need the full length for the offside of the RoD, as it's gone at intervals all the way along (and the bits between probably aren't far behind).  Repair sections would be fine for the nearside of both cars though.
