Matt Byrne Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I've had my 1.8 Coupe for 10 years and whilst it's quite a sweet, revvy engine, a modest, mid-range diesel will easily outgun it.Not from the lights they won't. If you're trying, that 1.8 will hold its own with BMW's 2.0 diesel and that's got 40 more horses at least. The underdog spirit is what I like most about it. It surprises me just how capable 123bhp can be with a close ratio box.
