Hi alsa and welcome. That photo is very familiar, I've seenmit before a lot. Think I've got it on my hard drive saved from somewhere, no doubt ebay from a long while back. Is that where I know it from? I absolutely blinking well love it. And it's in the perfect colour too. What was the cars fate?

Welcome to Autoshite! That looks great, how old is the picture? There was an almost identical one in the Burnley area until the relatively recently, not seen it for probably a year now though.

Smashing!Last one I saw in the flesh was rotting in a Somerset scrap yard.I love the estates with the big chrome twirly-roundy window unwinder thing on the tailgate.

Lovely looking car alsa. There was one like that in the garage I take my Citroen to last year. Welcome to Autoshite.

First, and last, one I saw in the flesh.

Gulp. Took a lot of guessing to work out what it was!

Yours looked a honey, they seem really well-proportioned and manage the trick of looking like a bigger car than they actually are.

Waw, what a response :) Cheers for the welcome all.Pic was taken about 4 yrs ago (I have several others - pics that is, not Simca's anymore  )I had an extremely rusty blue 1501 estate that I sold to the same guy that bought the copper one (he was from 'up North', so may well be the same one seen in Burnley).Anyone interested in seeing 't'other pics? Also had a few other A/s odds & ends over the years  (Safrane's, Imps, ADO16's and a classy A/s - a BiTurbo!)

Anyone interested in seeing 't'other pics?

Lovely car - I had an 1100 for about a year, it never worked properly but I'm beginning to miss it now... bienvenu chez Autoshite!

Wow, 1301s are really elegant looking cars. Shame they are so rare now. Last one I saw on the road was a metallic turquoise one down in Bournemouth and that was about 10 years ago!

Last one on the roads I saw was a white estate in the mid 80's....they had an amazing propensity to rust - I imagine many would have been dispatched to the scrapyard well before their 10th birthdays.

I saw this one is a scrappy about 2 years ago.
