Restoring leather which colour would you go for and what's the best procedure.

on my new car I have a little scuff on the drivers seat and being that I'm a bit picky I want to do something about so I bought a bottle of oxblood dye from an upholsterer and I was going to then give the bolster a going over with kiwi oxblood leather shoe polish and finish the the seats off with a bit of saddle soap.

 

The only thing is I'm not quite sure if oxblood is the right colour as its not quite Red but it's also not really Burgundy so which colour would you go for would you go for Oxblood.

The best procedure is to rip it out and have it replaced with orange velour.
