the car was not armoured. Just a standard S280. A lesson to put seatbelts on really. Interesting how its got so far into the tunnel then crashing. You'd imagine someone to lose it on the bend going in really.

Lots & lots of newly-qualified drivers have accidents because they don't know how to slow down properly on wide bends. Can't understand why driving instructors don't explain that one properly.

However. Now for something a bit different, talking of tragedies. Today is the 20th anniversary of the Lockerbie murders which made Christmas 1988 so dreadful. But you have yet to see the most horrific atrocity of them all, which came as a direct result of that act of terror:

Art lovers & anybody with good taste: you are strongly advised NOT to go there. You have been warned! :(

Thing is you lose something the size of an s class and you're not going to catch it anyway! Once the back end starts to fish tail its only a matter of time before you hit something.

When the back stepped out he should have thown it on lock and planted it for some sideways tunnel drift action. Big cars rock for high speed sideways-ness.

IIRC it was auctioned about 10 years ago for a ludicrous amount of money, I want to say £800k... that's ridiculous though, maybe it was £80k, or it could have been £8 I really can't remember :?
