The Moog Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 Fixed! Got the proper wiring diagram and found that it fed the AC pressure switch at front of engine. It had worn through the sheathing and so was shorting when engine vibrates
The Moog Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 And now the abs light has come on permanently, arse biscuits
Noel Tidybeard Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 And now the abs light has come on permanently, arse biscuitsdid you clean all your abs rings?
The Moog Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Did the fronts. Haven't looked at the back. The plug is a weird diagnostic one that needs a specific Honda tool plugging into it

The Moog Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Shhhhh and i will say this quietly the ABS has fixed itself.... after a week of Missus Moog driving it, the light is off and it no longer kicks in when coming to a stop. Just as well as a sensor is £130 each, compared to the gen 7 which are £20. Apologies to the old giffer whose civic now has an issue.. but i dont care. Missus Moog has decided she likes it as well, which is a pain although i am sure tempting her back into the saab wont be an issue. Bucketeer and Honey Badger 2
New POD Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can't get a Haynes book of fiction and lies for my Honda.
twosmoke300 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 You can , it just says it's for a Peugeot 306 😄
The Moog Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Honestly the link put earlier in the thread lies a lot less than my HBOL.
The Moog Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 ABS unfixed itself and back to kicking in when slowing down. More pressingly the blower flaps have stopped working. This means that I cant get air to the front screen which in turn is making it a bit dangerous to drive. It fogs up really quickly and takes ages to clear at this time of the year. Dismantled the dash again and the flap control only seems to move 60% of the way in the centre. It doesnt do screen or face. Unless I can find a cheap fix I think that this is going to be binned off as 4th week in a row Missus Moog has given up driving it
The Moog Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Fixerated. After dismantling the dash I found that the control cable had become unclipped. Clipped back in and jobs a goodun. Took the time to check abs codes as he stuttering to a stop has started again. No codes showing up, so looks like I need to clean the rear sensors. Bucketeer 1
