Parking Rover 0 : 1 Wall

Any Rooova 25 fiddlers lurking on here?

 

Someone*  whilst demonstrating the move ‘ en passant’  using the items at hand rather than a chess board, managed to get their Rover 25 front offside onto/into next doors low wall.  Now awaiting  the insurance  bloke/ess to visit and destroy any remaining NCB I am trying to work out the effort/pain/cost of getting a colour un-matched secondhand item and fitting it.    

Has anyone here removed and replaced the one piece plastic front of a pre-facelift Rover 25 and, apart from the obviously rusted then sheared bolts, are there any problems??

Where abouts are you? Give my mate Steve "Tin Worm" a call. He's usually got (or at least should have) some Rover 25 bumpers knocking about. If your lucky, he'll have one in the right colour too. He is located in Cradley Heath, West Mids.

 

He has also removed/fitted loads of these so I'm sure he'll be able to advise you.

I've taken the front bumper off mine to treat a wee rust bleb on the front wing. There are what I can only describe as spreader plates on the bumper where it meets the front wing ahead of the wheelarch blister. Mine were rusted to buggery, and had to be cut off. I'll get you a RAVE screendump presently.
