That Snake Pit thing was no way built to do speed records as the blurb says! Seriously...aerodynamics were a well know science in the early 70's and I don't think that would have quite done the job

The Citroen specialist in Ludford not far from me reckoned that orange Dyanes weren't very common. No idea if that's true but if so it makes it all the more likely those are one and the same.

I clocked it next door to my place when I was living slap bang in the middle of Headingley and immediately assumed that it belonged to some student from further south given the reg mark. Sadly I never felt compelled to snap the tatty red mk2 Fiesta parked round the corner, nor a late blue mk1 Fiesta that subsequently popped up on ebay, the Autoshite bug hadn't quite bitten until I moved away later in the year

Fiat estate is a beaut and I like the green Giulietta too.

That orange Dyane is in a colour caled 'Indian Orange' and it's one of the rare holy grail Dyane colours!

Yup, just about crashed my computer too! Way too much stuff to take-in all at once there, but stand-outs are the Consul Capri- whenever I see one, it confirms my view that they're one of the lovliest mass-produced cars ever- and the stunning PA Cresta 3 window. I saw that horrid Mk 3 Zody at Doncaster Custom Car show last year.

The red Triumph is a 1300 FWD which is why it has a funny front.

Chevette was at Harewood last Sunday. It only has one hubcap for some reason. Could be some strange new scene look.

DS fuel stop

How very strange Mr. Dave, your DS has a twin in Sale. I think it actually lives in Timperley. I was out in the Amazon and he gave me a nod, it's hard to believe that there's only two years between them.

The first Amazons came out in 1956, the first DS', 1955. The latter makes the former look like an antique. Both have asthmatic long stroke OHV engines which later got bored out, and both made rather good long distance safari rally cars.
