AndyW201 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 DMB graphics do a reproduction number plates/dealer sticker/tax disc holder set. Go on their site and search dealer sets and its on there. Unsure of the period but looks early 80s ish.
AlabamaShrimp Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I'm new here but instead of saying hello, making some kind of intro or saying what cars I've got, I'll go straight into asking for stuff and post a fuzzy green square overrun 1
Jim Bell Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I could ask my sister Dolly to knit you one. Essex V6, Wilko220, Craig the Princess and 4 others 7
Wilko220 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I remember this garage - it was a old white building, complete with an outside clock which had the numbers 1-12 replaced with the letters G O D F R E Y D A V I S - absolute class. I also heard a story (which may or may not be true) about the former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson who used to appear in their press ads at one time. Apparently on one occasion he agreed, in lieu of his fee, for the garage to give him a second hand XR3 that his wife had taken a shine to. It subsequently turned out to be a "cut and shut". Bob wasn't a happy chap.

oldford Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I worked in car rental in the early 1980s for an agent for Europcar, which had just recently bought Godfrey Davis car rental. The cars were stickered up: Godfrey Davis Neasden Lane with blue and white colours. I might still have some of the blue tax disc holders that were used in the GD rental cars. Craig the Princess 1
