Drive-by P6

Didn't manage to pap or even keep up with a K-reg tobacco-leaf P6 3500 today on the M4, being piloted by a person in a bright orange shirt, headed toward Evesham on the M5.

 

Anyone on here? I was in the lemon yellow Peugeot 107 doing 60 and I did wave

It would be hard to keep up with a Rover on the M5 when you are in a Peugeot on the M4.

Apologies for being slightly off-the-thread but the above posts all conspired to remind me of an episode I witnessed nearly 30 years ago and had only just come to mind again.....The only occasion I ever saw a police chase was on the M3.   A co-incidentally tobacco leaf P6B thundered down the hard shoulder up the inside of my Zephyr 6.   It must have been doing nearly a ton, there was debris and grit being thrown up everywhere.  The inevitable cop R-R echoed the Buick-derived V8 thunder in the outside lane a few moments later.    Much further on, the P6 was on two flat tyres (obviously not Denovos) and sat steaming in a pool of its own turquoise/rust tinged piss on a bridge.  Rangey was at the approved "Stoppo" angle across the hard shoulder and matey was being dragged up over the side of the bridge where he had presumably been hanging on for grim death over the A road.   I have never seen such a tortured look on a bloke's face.   I assume he was on something, probably an overdose of Radweld vapours.

A guy totally steamed into it, past me and all the legals.... saw rozzer 2L8... I don't usually vote for turkey shoot speed traps but this guy was in fukkinn orbit!!

 

Volvo trailed him through the lanes and pulled him at the end, back to 3 lanes.
