cms206 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Remember that Proton were, at one point, the fastest selling new brand to the UK ever - was it not something daft like 40-odd thousand sold in 1989? They were competing against the Skoda Estelle, Lada Riva and FSO Polonez on launch and they were leagues ahead. The 1.5SE even came with electric windows. I never personally liked the Aeroback but I still rank the original Saga saloon as one of the best looking cars of it's time, there isn't a single angle it looks wrong from; the only thing I didn't and still don't understand is why they didn't do an estate as I suspect it'd have sold like bloody hotcakes.
red5 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Bugger the ropey old protons , look at that Kr1S , in the workshop for rings maybe ? Cleaned and reset KIPS linkages.

Lacquer Peel Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 the only thing I didn't and still don't understand is why they didn't do an estate as I suspect it'd have sold like bloody hotcakes. It is strange they didn't utilise the Lancer estate body with its excellent rear lights.
Partridge Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 The contract they had with Misti might not have allowed it. And those lights are 4 WINNERZ.
