Identify shite trinkets and win them!

A couple of years ago I bought a mixed box of car stuff from a shite auction. All I wanted were the 20 1960's copies of Motor, the rest of it went in the shed.

Today I was looking for a paint brush,couldn't find it,but found this;post-17414-0-09754500-1405444095_thumb.jpg

The things I can identify are a brake pad fitting kit for mk2 ADO16's, water temperature senders for HB Viva GT and FD VX4/90 and a filter for some sort of ancient Commer or Karrier.

The tastefull Manchester badges are self adhesive.

If the round lenses fit Land Rovers,I'll be keeping them, everything else can be had for postage costs.

Wipac orange lenses look very 'generic' (elderly) HGV trailer to me.

If it fits those it probably also fits the slant-4 Bedford CF as well... just in case anybody knows of one in need.

A word of caution regarding the petrol caps... some tanks must have a vented cap, otherwise the fuel pump creates such suction as to literally suck a steel fuel tank in so it resembles a pancake - as you can imagine, not a nice situation at all. Wonder how I found that one out?

Ok,PM your address and I'll get it in the post later in the week.

I've realised I don't know how to do PayPal or anything so I'll let you know what postage was and if you stick that amount in a collecting box or something, that will give me an enormous sense of well being , as Phil Daniels once said.

Trouble is I've probably got more temperature senders than there are Viva GT's.

I'm guessing the filler caps are from a series 1 or 2 Jag XJ. Two tanks so you can have the thrill* of filling up twice.

I reckon the orange lenses aren't LR, they look too "square" if that makes any sense talkin about round 'uns.

No I don't think so,they're all slightly different aftermarket ones. Jag ones just flip up,don't come off.

When I was a flash young git I'd pull between 2 pumps and fill both tanks simultaneously , it helped when someone else was paying for the petrol.

Yes,I have my suspicions that they're not LR I'll try them tomorrow at my Dad's house, there's a S1,S3 and 90 there.

The all black petrol cap with no lock is Rover sd1. I don't want it.

I'd be very pleased to have a temperature sensor for a Viva please.  I don't expect it to be free - I'll PM you some details thanks.

The indicator lens out the packet looks very similar to the ones on my van:

(The best photo I can find!)

I'm away at the moment but will check for any part numbers when I get back, but if it has a VW/Audi badge moulded into it I'm certain it'll be the right one.
