Anyone else for the AS stand?

I'll be on the Allegro Club International stand on Saturday (and possibly Sunday) but sans Allegro (as I don't own one - I'm a fan of the '80s rather than the '70s - but I have some good friends who do :P).

Looking forward to it :).

On of the UK's biggest Car Shows ,and only 1 person Intrested ,I cannot understand this at all ,Feel I have wasted my Time and Money  ,I am very unhappy

People have lives outside of Autoshite, unfortunately.

I'm covering it for work - although as explained in my PM, coming in the Charade is difficult logisitically. If I leave it there over the weekend I have no transportation between my folks' and Event City - and I can't really borrow their car.

I'm actually going to be making an appearance at this, but I'll be on the Young Guns Classics stand. Think Stephen (warninglight) will be there as well.

Aye I'll be there! Logistics of this week mean I won't be bringing anything though :(

A selection of Saturday pictures

Autoshite Area - I did expect at least one Brass Band fanfare, or a trail of gearbox oil awaiting me, or a bit of bunting and deckchair action - Don't they know who I am?! :-D

At least the stand cars are ace.

It's nice to see people still doing "Big Fish, Little Fish" by a Vanden Plas.

Same here sadly. Owing to staff sickness / apathy / leaving Im trying to staff a health centre with just three nurse as opposed to ten. Most weeks Im working upwards of 50 hours, this weekend was no exception what was supposed to be a 4 hour shift turned into a 13 hour shift on Saturday.

Conrad, I am jealous of your camera's ISO handling. My Nikon had a fit at half the speed your Sony's working at. I love that 205 GT as well.Giving serious thought to investing in a proper body \ glass.

BLGuy1975: We chatted briefly, I was the bloke who appeared and started talking to Conelrad about MG6s. I'm sorry I wasn't able to bring the Charade but I needed a car all Saturday and didn't have a taxed motor to use as transport.

Angrydicky: I'm gutted I didn't get to chat to you gents. Will be in touch. By this point my camera was giving more sensor errors than a 400-series CEM, so I bowed out.

It's a wonderful camera. The only drawbacks when compared to an SLR is having to use the menu system instead of having buttons (fiddly) and, of course, the lack of an actual viewfinder when it's bright outdoors.

edit: what a rubbish 4,000th post. An off topic consumer goods recommendation.

Ah shit, sorry guys. I completely failed at meeting or speaking to any of you. I did see Dugong at one point but he was engaged in conversation with someone else and I didn't want to interrupt!

Was a pretty good show. I decided at the last minute to come along, so ended up driving the Maestro from Kent to Manchester and back on a complete whim. I had planned to take the Somerset but it broke down at the last minute so I had to take the Maestro, which turned out to be a good decision! I'm pleased to report it behaved superbly, despite the journey taking seven hours each way. Thanks to Paul from Runcorn who let me kip on his sofa Friday and Saturday :P
