I took some eBay quality phone pics today. In the process put some noses out of joint of the owners of concourse classics adjacent to the following more interesting veehickles.

This brought back memories, I had an identical xl250s back in '84.

Mmm, lots to like here.  Rekord coupe wins for sheer loucheness, if I had to pick one, although the tide mark Senator is winking at me too.

Top marks for ignoring the acres of TR6s, Moggies and Mk2 Escorts, btw.

A superb selection of well-preserved chod, clearly shot by no less than a true connoisseur. I'd happily re-home the Jupiter.

Barry has been at work here, but was the Calibre a model of cavalier? Brain fade kicking in.

Great pics fella.

I would have an affair with most of that lot. Speacially all the Swedish stuff.

I've been trying to source body panels for the maestro with partial success. Front wings and panel bought off eBay a couple of months ago but repair panels for the rear arches are like rocking horse shit. Luckily scored a N/S rear wheel arch panel on the 'bay last week and resigned myself to wobbing the O/S.

There was no autojumble to speak of at today's show, just one man selling bits and bobs from the back of a van miles* away from the cars on show. But there it was like the holy grail. O/S rear wheel arch repair panel with Maestro chalked across it complete with green Hadrian sticker sticking out from behind some chrome wheel trims! Result.

Must be my age, but Marinas are starting to look like that mate's mum you knew you shouldn't have been fantasising about...but still did.

It was too bright at times. Some of them were a fooking nightmare to get right.

You're selling it short. It's a Commodore B GS/E, no less.

I stand corrected, and slightly embarrassed.
