"Midway through our time with it news arrived that the model has been discontinued. " Bad luck for the author, but it went to print anyway with a clever justification, read:

Interestingly, the particular Tagora tested still survives and is on the road!

I need to find this! Are you in touch with the current owner? Looking here:

It seems that it hasn't had a warrant of fitness (Kiwi version on MOT/TUV) in over 4 years, though admittedly these details aren't kept up to date all the time. Nice to know that one made it over here and seems to have survived. The only Tagora I've ever seen was when our family were living in Dulmen (sorry, can't do umlauts on this laptop!). Was a metallic green one with steel wheels and a vinyl roof, from the UK, on British Forces plates.

It appears to be licensed until July this year. From what i learned from the friendly person (thanks again Scott!) who sent me the information, it is on "excemption", something like SORN in the UK: Off the road, but not scrapped. Last WOF (TÜV; MOT) expired in june 2010, not so long ago. There were 5 previous owners, two of them appear to be dealers as the car didnt gain any mileage while in their hands for a rather short time.

I dont have any contact to the owner, but would certainly like to get in touch with her/him.
