What was left of Albert Camus' Facel Vega. Michel Gallimard, his publisher, was also killed in the accident.

*Not enhanced you understand, just taken on the B&W setting thing.

i enjoyed your eye-catching pics, Mr Tayne sir, any more?

Correct.

Should I reverse search them or can you supply details? A little morbid, but since the pics are up here there it would seem to make sense to know about them.

Only three of my posts depict the wrecks of celebrity fatalities - Garibaldi's Alfa, Grace Kelly's P6, and Camus's Facel.

All others were not lethal and/or not celebrities.

For example, Montgomery Clift survived the crash with his '55 Chevy, but suffered face injuries that altered his appearance, so there is a before and after crash Montgomery Clift.

They say that the trauma of the accident did add to his already prevalent depression and ultimately contributed to his suicide about ten years later.

None of the racing crashes I posted were fatal, neither were of course the car stunts.

Now come on junkman, they're P7s! I'm sure I've seen this photo somewhere before but I just can't put my finger on it. Was it from a book or 't net?

It's from Rüdiger Wicke's website, IIRC.

They are P7 prototypes P7/2  and P7/1 plus trailer on their return to the UK following brake trials in the Alps.

Who the gentlemen are I know not.

That's a great P6-lover's site. I learned to drive in an ancient 2200SC with the strip speedo, the engine wasn't my cupotea but everything else was bloody good. It handled poor roads at speed very nicely and had large reserves of grip, iirc. Interior was peachy. I predict these cars' values will take a steady upturn, at least they oughtta.
