Environmentally unfriendly paint stripper - what should I go for?

Have a little project coming up that needs paint stripping off it.

It's a 1936 Hoover 875 that at some point in the years inbetween has been painted with I imagine something banned today. What would be the best product to get it off? Wire wool wont touch it, and I dont want to sand it off as it should hopefully* be polished aluminium underneath and I dont want to inflict too much damage on it.

I've heard Nitromorse is shite nowadays, anything I can get on ebay or similar that will remove anything and quickly, rather than sit on it and complain about the trees and ozone layer?

Dont need too much

Cheers

Modern Nitromors works well enough if you follow the instructions to the letter, which is I think where the people who criticise it are going wrong (including me).

What about getting it soda blasted? I have heard that is supposed to be a gentler stripping method.

In fact didn't someone on here have/start a Business doing this very thing?

Otherwise brake fluid seems pretty good at removing paint - as recommended by thousands of angry girlfriends worldwide!

If anyone can soda blast it I'll happily strip it and post it! Would pictures etc help?
