one day insurance

I need one day insurance to take my Alfa for an MOT this saturday, Im fully insured but on another car. According to my policy I can drive other cars third party but not if I own them.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap one day insurance?

I've used the RAC one day service a few times. Usually around the £20 mark which is the cheapest I've seen, and it's been zero hassle.

just spoken to Brian at confused.com, the cheapest is £40, for a day!!! That's more than the MOT.

I used Aviva via Dayinsure  £33 for 3 days on a Pug 106

Take off the breakdown cover etc.. There's a tick box on the form they automatically select - unstick and save another couple of quid

I was with Admiral until priced themselves out of my market but they were ace for short term additional cars, paid £35 for 28 days on a 318i last year and gave me £33 back the next day when I cancelled. Good for any of you with them.

I've always used Dayinsure before, cover provided by Aviva and usually £20 or so.
