I don't know what this is but I think I'm gonna move into it

If you need any off-grid help or advice, once you've parted with your £5k, let me know - I helped someone a while back who was reasonably practical. For under £1500 installed and working he had a free on-going supply of safe water, enough electricity for laptop, big screen, all lighting and other small-draw electricals year-round courtesy of a couple of solar panels, a couple of big batteries and a standby-genny, hot water from a diy solar thermal panel which works April-Oct and heating and hot water from a Morso wood stove.

So what's the plan sambas are you going to buy something like this then park a caravan or motorhome on the land?

It's certainly a consideration, been a bit of local builder interest in these cottages, quite possible that the vendor is asking more than people are willing to pay, hence the properties have been left to ruin. But no harm in finding out I suppose.

Purchased by the Highways Agency. Have enquired with them as to their fate, I suspect the new service road will just catch the boundary of these cottages so who knows. ETA actually the more I think about it, it was probably much cheaper to buy these to demolish than put in the necessary access on the new road.

Bump for Mr B.

Further news about the derelict cottages. My mates dad plays golf with the land owner nearby, the suggested access is through his land and he wont allow it, so the people who offered money for the two cottages are stuck!

The Leyland Daf is still there, but not for long.
