Whilst scouring Leboncoin for exciting chod I happened across this...

Believe it it not this is packing 150ps of 1.6l turbo power but unlike the ones I've seen here, it isn't AWD. What's most amazing though, is this is how they come! Dull grey, black placca bumpers and steelies. Complete STEALTH! I've never heard of this version of the BF 323 before. I'd love one of these! Here's another one...

Was this ever sold here? I don't recall ever seeing a 323 turbo here that wasn't a 4x4 GTX.

When I opened this thread, I thought it was going to be the reveal of your new, record breaking hyper-chod.

Imagine my disappointment...........:)

I daren't buy anything else. Having too much prime motoring crud all in the same place at the same time is likely to cause some kind of major vortex in the shite-time continuum leading to an unstoppable influx of miserable chod. I have to keep them all well seperated as it is to prevent a criticality.

That's great, I want one too.

Don't remember seeing them about though they could easily fly under the radar... Not any more though.

As well as the 4x4 GTX there was, from memory, a 4x4 Lux, adding leccy windows an shiz, both were officially sold here. They started my fascination with Mazdas, though I've never actually owned one.

I've had a few 323's of BF and BD flava. They are probably some of the best cars there are for reliability and indestructible build quality. I kind of wish I'd kept our A reg 323 GT as that's a super rare car these days and it was good fun to hoon about it. And it had rad stripey seats.

I like how boring that looks on its steels, bet that could upset alot of people in much newer stuff out and about, I wanted a 4x4 turbo back in the day for fun and frolics

There were more of those stealth pocket rockets made from J-tin, but probably not marketed in the UK.

A friend of mine had a roughly contemporary pov spec Suzuki Swift with a ca. 150ps 1600 turbo, officially sold in Germany.

This may have been a late 80s fad, so there might be similar models from other Japanese makers, too.

Indeed so.

The Micra ST being one that I would love to have.

Oh, and a pirate-spec Suzuki Wagon R RR.

That Mazda looks the sort of spec you would see a sweet old dear popping down to the post office to get her pension, but secretly it's a tarmac stormer. Looks sorted to me, de badge and nobody would know what it was, and the look on their faces as it shoots away from the lights. Excellent
