Squire_Dawson Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Thread title is self-explanatory. Most of these photos are of cars seen on the road, quite by chance. To kick-off, an elderly lady seen outside a local charity shop. Useless information regarding the Triumph - I've never seen one in that colour before. Next up, a proper Benz example of the 'tank' school of thought. Bucketeer, Junkman, trigger and 5 others 8
mercrocker Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 good spots - square cars make the world look a better place.... Bucketeer, Magnificent Rustbucket, Junkman and 1 other 4
Squire_Dawson Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 This is an 'F' reg if you can't see because of the light. See it most weeks so might get a better shot if I cba or if there's no one about wondering who this nutter is. MOAR Triumpf - I told you there's still a few knocking about. michael t, trigger, Bucketeer and 1 other 4
scooters Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 love that beige Trumper - I had a Nissan Sunny Saloon (1984) in that colour - it was brill and it had fab GIFFER spec brogue style poo brown vinyl steering wheel wrap!!! Why oh Why can we not get quality accessories like that any more eh? Squire_Dawson 1
Squire_Dawson Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 The Squire has been busy! His eyes have been peeled, iphone at the ready, incredible risk to life and limb have been taken to bring you these, chronicles of the World of Shite! A rare sight now. An ancient '30' limit sign, age I would estimate to late 1960s/early 70s BC. Thowd Morris, one of the better colours second only to BL Limeflower. Now, imagine my delight when I spied this old tub following - it's enough to set you twitching! I should add that my passenger was on photo-skills duty. Can anyone guess the make? And there's more!!!
Squire_Dawson Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 One for Junkman: One for Mercrocker - the Cowley was nice, I got chatting to the owner and he'd done the paintjob himself, car was in regular use and he said hills were no problem with the 1200cc engine. Nice early 1100: Longbridge W Gate nowadays. Not a pineapple in sight - very refreshing! vulgalour, michael t, Jim Bergerac and 2 others 5
Squire_Dawson Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Good selection of spottings there. I am guessing Lanchester for the rear window spot. Very close, it was a Daimler. I don't think the photos show it but it had the trademark Daimler rippled radiator.
vulgalour Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 My first guess had been Lanchester too, but a bit of Googling indicates it might have been a Daimler Consort. The grille on that Ford Pop/Anglia looks wrong somehow, is it just an earlier version or something?
Squire_Dawson Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 The owner of this Vauxhall Viva was doing some fettling under the bonnet, so I took this from a distance and seem to have missed what I was trying to photograph. But fear not, I caught him on the way out aswell! Bucketeer 1
Bucketeer Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 In the time between Viva pic 1 and Viva pic 2, weren't you tempted to make up a little sign or summat to hold up as he went past, with the message 'UR SPOILER IS RUBBISH M8' on it?
Squire_Dawson Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 The spoiler was pants I agree, but it might have been a schoolboy error affixed in the 70's, so I'll let him off.
Squire_Dawson Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Greetings forumites. Have some tat. Everybody's favourite in a favourite colour. What's not to like? Another Vauxhall with its bonnet up. I see a common theme here. Solent shite: Shite hauling shit. Fiat shite. worldofceri, vulgalour, brickwall and 3 others 6
Bucketeer Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Some really good spots there. The giffed-up Cavalier Estate is, as the reg plate suggests, FAB.
vulgalour Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Cor! That blue Farina is something special, I hope it never changes.
Ghosty Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Ah, I know that Farina - you've been up Manchester (and the Northern Quarter), then. It never moves - it's out of tax and MOT.Oh, and it's an Oxford. Squire_Dawson 1
Squire_Dawson Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Chod? Chod. Yes indeed, I got chod. What's this? All I see is the Regie diamond. It was seen by Monument in Londidium, and the following few photos are all from London. I was surprised to see so much shite in the capital. I thought it would all have been swept away. Statesman's chariot? On an 'M' plate. Have an ale. Except you can't as the lusher's closed down. This, fortunately, still remains in Bournemouth. In The Pit, danthecapriman, worldofceri and 1 other 4
