Nice! Real throwback. Interestingly Skoda won Group 2 in 1st and 2nd in the Monte Carlo rally, they managed 2nd and 3rd in the RAC. An RAC sticker in my '88 Skoda declares 20 class wins out of 21 yrs so 77 must have been the one year they didn't take first place hehe.

Brilliant video,although I wouldn't call it the dying days of rwd or more specifically Escort RS domination, an Escort won the RAC every year from 72-79 and 1980's winner was In the equally primitive Talbot Sunbeam. Watching stuff like this makes me think RS Scene Tax is almost justified, how that glamour filters through to Cortinas,Vans and Fiestas though I don't know.

As for the Stratos, I remember my Grandma taking me to Dyfi Forest in 77 to see the Castrol Rally, there was a Stratos that looked like it was from another planet compared to the Escorts,Vivas and Avengers let alone the Minis whining round struggling in the ruts.
