Mk 1 Clio haz what derv pump?

Apologies for the rubbish thread but net searching has been painfully unsuccessful and leads me to believe it may be a Lucas or a Bosch 

 

I'm sure you can guess why I'm asking, it's on a L plate is non turbo and looks like this

Lucas I think. I had two 1.9D Renaults of similar vintage (one of them a seven seat Savanna!) and they both had Lucas pumps.

On my wife's 205 smokenwagen, I found that by peering through the crusted filth I could just about make out the dreaded word "Lucas" on the pump.  This made me say another bad word.

If you took a pic a bit further away, maybe from your front room that might help to id the pump!

Yeah, problem is that the given pic is an advert and all I have of the car. If it was here then the ID would provide no problems as I could look at it and see...

 

Looks like most are Lucas though some have the favorable Bosch jobbie, I did wonder if any one here would rise to the challenge of seeing which it was from the given details and crappy pic, no worries if not as it could be worth a gamble and may sell for more than I can give anyway.

I found that on ebay too, looked a bargain.

 

The engine designation is F8Q.

 

This is one with a Lucas pump:

You can see the fuel line routing differs on the two.

 

Looking at the ebay image, I believe yours matches the distinctive Bosh fuel line routing that sees a pair straddle the rocker cover.

It also turns out Chrome likes to "correct" Bosch to Bosh...

Mk1 Clios had both Bosch and Lucas. I have a Bosch pump and pipes from one if you want. I've a soft spot for those old dizzlers, very quick in an unusual and old-fashioned way (loads of grunt, power just adequate, decent handling).
