No particular pattern. Says a lot about the hap hazard way ive often gone about Buying stuff. I did used to avoid fords, I think because my dad was a ford man and I had an eye for less mainstream/ more aspirational stuff as I grew up,

I now know the error of my ways! This old sierra has seen to that. It does what it says on the tin.

Hondas. Owned four (of which one is still owned), and contemplating the purchase of another. Exciting they are not, but well engineered and fabulously reliable.

Aye same here, it's slightly worrying I'm looking to swap a slightly dodgy V6 Auto Accord for a hopefully less dodgy V6 auto Legend at some point over the next few weeks.

I've had 4 Hondas now and apart from the current coupe with the slightly* unwell gearbox they have all been pretty bullet proof and I like the Vtec, I R JDM FANBOI.

I'd have another R8 in a shot though, if it wouldn't lead to shouldering of the distinctly chilly kind until the divorce papers are served.

It's a big world, and one marque only lads must have a very narrow view of it.

Verily.

That's why I despaired slightly when a friend of mine (who'd somehow managed to own eight VWs between the age of 17-22) decided he 'wanted a change, something really different and fast'.......and then went and bought a new Scirocco on tick. Idiot.

I've had more Volvos than anything else, but some of their output leaves me cold. I was never a massive fan of the 240, 850 or XC60\90, and their current  model line-up bores me stupid. I considered a stupid-cheap C30 a while back, but I decided to spend the deposit on something else that is currently a millstone around my neck.

Never owned a British car, and probably won't until I can afford some kind of knackered Swallow Doretti or Rochdale Olympic.

The three Japanese cars I've owned have all been on the rare side. Had a lot of French stuff, which has never gone wrong* to any great degree**. Although my C4 drove me to the point of insanity when it was new, it's had a lot of the stupid faults corrected. It owes me nothing, it still works and I'm actually quite fond of it now, chattering timing belt and all.

Although my immediate family have had nothing but German cars for several years, I won't be buying one any time soon \ ever, unless someone wants to gift me a Corrado VR6, the only VW I'd consider without a loaded Mauser stuck to my head.

Always had Land Rovers of varying degrees of decrepitude, alongside mostly French tat; 205, C15, 106. In my previous careerz I either used the Landies for work or had a vehicle with the job; these ranged from a Defender to a Peugeot 205 to Transit vans, so didn't really need to buy a car. I've also had an 80s Audi coop and a breadvan Polo, a Lada Niva (AWESOME) and a Suzuki SJ413 van which was also a grand little motor.

Loved the Audi, thought the Polo was shit... but quite like my wife's newerer one.

I go through stages but have always liked Ghia-spec Fords having owned four. Basically anything from the 80s interests me, although I'm not massively into Japanese stuff. If I had the money I'd buy loads of Renaults from the 5 up to 25 as I've always liked them, a phase 1 25 GTX is the king of shite in my opinion.

I like loads of cars from loads of different brands and hope to try at least half of them in my motoring lifetime... So why out of six cars (so far) have I had 3 Volvos? It's not a brand loyalty thing, it's just that I quite like Volvos I think...
Oh God! This is how it starts, isn't it?

No, in fact I'd like to own a car by as many different manufacturers as possible. Off the top off my head that still leaves MG Rover, Jaguar, Subaru, Lexus, Audi, Skoda, Peugeot and Saab

I claim to be willing to try any brand but keep coming back to Rovers and MGs.

I now do have a hitlist of marques I want to own a car from. These being Alfa, Volvo, SAAB and for some reason a Proton.

Japnese for me. Particuarly Nissan.

My first car was a two year old P11 Primera. I have also had others come and go, P10 eZX/eGT, a 2.0TD P11, a JDM P11...

Although I currently own two Ford's, imo (until the 2000's) Nissan made the best cars.

I would love to import a KGC10 one day. Shame the scenesters are onto them now.

I'll drive owt, me. There is something to enjoy/entertain you in any car.

I'll also own whatever takes my fancy, no matter who made it.

I could never have blinkered ties to one brand, or even worse, a single model. Even if they make good cars, it's beyond boring.

As are the reasons behind it, like; "I know these inside out/I have loads of spares so it makes sense/everything else is shit compared to these" etc.

Tedious.
