Old photos of your shite

Has anyone on here had success with finding old photos of their motors? I love all that kind of stuff; buff log books, finding out where they used to live on Google maps... probably quite sad to a 'normal' but there we go.

 

When I bought my Land Rover (from a wheeler dealer) I was told there were quite a number of photos with the previous owner, taken during the 50 years they owned it and used it for hauling static caravans. Alas, despite much letter writing, an appeal in the local paper etc I've not yet found anything. I did get an email from an ex-pat now in Malaysia who used to play in it when he was little and staying at the campsite, he remembered the smell and the packets of hand towels stuffed in the roof sides (they were still there when I got it).  Periodically I trawl old photos of Bristol/Weston/Kewstoke on Flickr to see if any appear. Anybody more successful...?

Towing my blown  Mk10 using a twin axle iron trailer using my rat Manta A. Round the M25 down to Guildford.

I was at a local agricultural show with the 109 series 2a and a previous owner recognised it. He dealt in scrap and used the land rover for moving old iron. Anyways, he told me of a picture he had where a mini was upside down in the back while towing a trailer with four flattened cars piled on. We exchanged emails but I'm still waiting for that pic.

 

Bought and old wreck of a land rover for spares last year which turned out to be a RAF truck airfield crash rescue or TACR1 and one of only 22 series 2a tacr1s made. There's a register of them on the net that has chassis numbers and MOD reg numbers. A bit more googling brought up a pic of it when it was in service.
